The justification that it is outside the scope of the PDP or NRPM does not hold. Try to reconcile opposing arguments with the ARIN Code of Conduct.

I’m perfectly willing to discuss illicit acts by members of the community or others.

I’m unable to parse your last two sentences into a useful meaning. I understand you disagree that it is out
of scope, so I guess the penultimate sentence is parseable, but I don’t see how it relates or what is intended
by the last sentence.

The vote did not push the proposal forward, it just moved back to square one. For this reason I reproduce below excerpts from the ARIN Code of Conduct to require proper conduct:
>
> 1.1 The Board of Trustees (“Board”) members share a commitment to NURTURE and SAFEGUARD American Registry for Internet Numbers, Ltd.’s (“ARIN”) REPUTATION and to act in the best interests of the organization.
>
> 3.1 Everything we do in connection with our work at ARIN is measured against the highest customary standards of ETHICAL and PROFESSIONAL behavior. ARIN’s commitment to these highest standards helps bring great people into the ARIN community and encourages their lasting participation.

I am well aware of these, but I”m not sure why you think they prevent the board from upholding the AC decision.

I have no direct knowledge of the board’s current thinking on the matter.

Nonetheless, we do have a long history of precedent that the NRPM covers the policies by which the registry is governed, but does not cover the operational practices of the organization. The proposal in question is mostly about those operational practices and not about the policy governing resource registrations.
