I am in favor of this proposal as written.
I am also in favor of clarifying the text in a later proposal.
I am against removing the formula. As long as the text and the formula match, the formula’s inclusion does not harm and should help technically minded people with clarity, as math is often more clear than text. ARIN staff using the text rather than the formula is irrelevant as long as the meaning of both matches. I also do not believe the amount of time spent before anyone proposed fixing the formula is also not a good enough argument to remove it in a future proposal.
This proposal fixes the problem and further clarity is best achieved by addressing the text itself in a future proposal.
