[arin-ppml] Board Election Petition underway

To the beset of my knowledge, membership has never been a criterion for eligibility to run. It is a requirement to be able to nominate and to vote.

I don’t think this is a change.

What has changed is the behavior of (and possibly the mandate and guidance given to) the nominating committee.

This new behavior is the kind of manipulation of process I expect to see in AFRINIC. It comes as a surprise in the ARIN region.

I’m not sure what scott at solarnetone.org thinks is going on and he doesn’t elaborate beyond a rather terse claim that some sort
of effort towards capture is occurring. Care to elaborate, Scott?
