a)cannot be located upon the exercise of due diligence

b)has been transferred or sold to, or deposited with a third person

c)has been placed beyond the jurisdiction of the court

d)has been substantially diminished in value

e)has been commingled with other property that cannot be subdivided without difficulty

 

It is the intent of the United States…..to seek forfeiture of any property of the defendant up to the amount equivalent to the value of the above-described forfeitable property.

I’d presume that if the blocks are forfeited to the US government, they will then be monetized on the transfer market, like most other forfeited assets; I wouldn’t expect them to be locked away*. Might take a while for the blocks to fall out of the routing table and actually become usable, however.

I have reviewed the indictment and it has a forfeiture order in it. It lists the blocks and states that they shall be forfeited to the United States.

 

Now, my question is, does that affect ARIN reclaiming the blocks if they are surrendered to the government?

I have the indictment as a pdf but I don't think I can attach it on this mailing list. It is public information though.

I tried to convert it to text with bad results. If you can't find it and want to see it, let me know and I will put it up somewhere and link to it.
