The process we use to migrate data out of the registration database into the Whois clusters can be extremely I/O intensive. And our beta environment is virtualized, which means this migration process would be SLOW SLOW SLOW since virtual systems don't handle disk I/O very well. However, it would appear adding Whois-RWS to the beta site would be useful even if a more comprehensive solution is needed, so we will look into finding the necessary real hardware to accomplish this goal.
