[arin-tech-discuss] has the WHOIS CLI behavior reverted?

On 10/2/11 ARIN changed the default whois CLI behavior so that the
parent record of an assignment (belonging to ARIN or "various
registries") wouldn't be displayed, and you wouldn't need to single out
the record of the entity you were presumably looking for. In other
words, it was designed to _prevent_ this from happening:

%whois 128.32.0.0
#
# Query terms are ambiguous. The query is assumed to be:
# "n 128.32.0.0"
#
# Use "?" to get help.
#

# The following results may also be obtained via:

University of California UCB-ETHER (NET-128-32-0-0-1) 128.32.0.0 -
128.32.255.255
Various Registries (Maintained by ARIN) NET128 (NET-128-0-0-0-0)
128.0.0.0 - 128.255.255.255

As of today, it appears that this behavior has returned. Was there a
reason for the reversion? Or did I merely miss something and/or am
smoking crack?
