Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2017.3 upon confirmed
receipt, to increase the number and type of billing contact options
associated with ARIN services for organizations.
Having reviewed your suggestion and benefited from an opportunity to
talk with you about it, we understand you are looking for ARIN to provide
greater flexibility in the area of billing contacts. You described
different scenarios to us that may not be satisfied by a single billing
contact option. One of those scenarios consisted of an organization who
has both a person and a system/machine that would like to receive
invoices from ARIN. The person behind the primary billing contact email
address would want to receive the initial invoice and all subsequent
reminders. The system/machine behind the second billing contact email
address may only want to receive the initial invoice, but not the
reminders. Because of these different preference profiles described for
billing contacts, it is not always an easy solution to simply set up an
email alias on the customer side.
We are going to review various options available to us inside our
billing systems and ARIN Online to determine the best way to increase the
billing contact flexibility you described. We will update the status of
this suggestion upon the completion of that work in Q2 of 2017 and
provide a time estimate for implementation.
Thank you for participating in the ARIN Consultation and Suggestion
Process. Your suggestion will remain open until implemented.
