On 24 February, ARIN sent the following closing response on ACSP 
2016.14: Non-Incumbent Board of Trustees Candidate Requirement

The ARIN Board of Trustees considered your suggestion during their 
meeting on 10 January 2017.  Following significant deliberation the 
Board agreed to modify the NomCom charter to address your suggestion in 
the following manner.  Specifically, the language “The number of 
candidates presented by the NomCom shall exceed the number of open 
positions by at least one (1) candidate, and shall include no more than 
twice the number of candidates as there are open positions.”  was 
modified to the following:
     “The number of candidates presented by the NomCom for the Board shall

             *    include a minimum of one (1) non-incumbent candidates
             *    include a maximum of five (5) candidates"

The Board believes this language strikes the best balance between your 
suggestion and other matters discussed.
