[arin-ppml] ARIN-2025-4: Resource Issuance to Natural Persons -- Request for Feedback

Hi Bill, All,

I note a distinct lack of responses from the Caribbean, so I thought I’d add one from the FWI.

Looking at the requirements in the Caribbean, you will note that it is indeed onerous *and* sometimes expensive. In Martinique for example, there are a number of forms to fill, a physical visit to the authorities and a modest cost, plus all of the legal obligations, annual declarations, taxes, etc. that having a business (even sole proprietor) entails.

Allowing individuals to have resources, to me, seems to be inline with the very premise of the Internet. Although, I acknowledge the negatives that that brings.

obtaining the necessary government organizational paperwork was costly/onerous.

Hi David,

If there are ARIN-region jurisdictions where the necessary paperwork
for a sole proprietorship is costly or onerous, the draft's author and
proponents have not yet identified any of them. Unless I missed a post
somewhere?
