They help a little for the public who have zero operational experience, once you get to the sizes described here they provide no real benefit.
2,4,8 parallel delegations has never been hard for non nibble boundaries. It’s not like IPv4 where you get up to 128 parallel delegations for non octet boundaries.
0+1, 2+3, 4+5, 6+7, 8+9, a+b, c+d or e+f
0+1+2+3, 4+5+6+7, 8+9+a+b or c+d+e+f
0+1+2+3+4+5+6+7 or 8+9+a+b+c+d+e+f
A /20 is 268435456 /48’s which is ~1/person in the US.
