[arin-ppml] Advisory Council Meeting Results - June 2020

In accordance with the Policy Development Process (PDP), the Advisory 
Council met on 18 June 2020.



The AC has advanced the following Recommended Draft Policies to Last 
Call (will be posted separately for discussion):

* ARIN-2019-1: Clarify Section 4 IPv4 Request Requirements
* ARIN-2019-12: M&A Legal Jurisdiction Exclusion
* ARIN-2019-20: Harmonization of Maximum Allocation Requirements under 
Sections 4.1.8 (ARIN Waitlist) and 4.2.2 (Initial Allocation to ISPs)
* ARIN-2019-21: Reserved Pool Replenishment

The AC advances Draft Policies to Recommended Draft Policy status once 
they have been fully developed and meet ARIN's Principles of Internet 
Number Resource Policy. Specifically, these principles are:

* Enabling Fair and Impartial Number Resource Administration
* Technically Sound
* Supported by the Community



The AC has advanced the following Proposals to Draft Policy status (will 
be posted separately for discussion):

* ARIN-prop-288: Clarify and Update Requirements for Allocations to 
Downstream Customers
* ARIN-prop-289: Allowance for IPv4 Allocation “Swap” Transactions via 
8.3 Specified Transfers and 8.4 Inter-RIR Transfers
* ARIN-prop-290: 4.4 gTLD Micro-allocation Clarification

The AC advances Proposals to Draft Policy status once they are found to 
be within the scope of the Policy Development Process (PDP), and contain 
a clear problem statement.



The AC is continuing to work on:

* ARIN-2019-10: Inter-RIR M&A

Draft Policies:

* ARIN-2020-1: Clarify Holding Period for Resources Received via 4.1.8 
Waitlist
* ARIN-2020-2: Grandfathering of Organizations Removed from Waitlist by 
Implementation of ARIN-2019-16
* ARIN-2020-3: IPv6 Nano-Allocations

Editorial Changes:

* ARIN-edit-2020-4: Clarification of reference to 8.2 in 8.3
