[arin-ppml] Requesting moderator intervention

Alberta, I mostly agree but the original problem was, as Marilson
correctly identified, that someone who is subscribed to the list has a
bot residing on their computer that harvests any email addresses that
the user sees, and sends mildly offensive spam to them. They are NOT,
however, doing it VIA the list, but directly.

This wasn't caused by his forwarding Spam, this is caused by the list
putting the original sender of ALL messages in the "From" field, and the
spammers employing new tactics, namely in responding to emails as if
their spam was part of the discussion.

My evidence of this is that I am the original poster of this thread, I
sent it ONLY to the list, WITHOUT replying to any message, and I
immediately started receiving the Spam that Marilson was complaining
about. <sigh> Fortunately I'm on good terms with the mail administrator
of our company (it's me!) and can block it.

You probably are already aware of this, because you are probably now
receiving Spam directly to your inbox. Say hello to Samantha and Karla
for me! :-)
