[arin-ppml] ARIN-2011-6: Returned IPv4 Addresses - Last Call

Hello PPML,

As one of the shepherds for 2011-6, I wanted to let you all know that
at this point, I plan to make a motion to recommend 2011-6 to the
Board for adoption.

The AC moved this to last call based on fairly strong community
consensus and looking back over the last call thread, I do not see any
sign of that changing. Among the replies I see 3 clearly in favor and
2 clearly opposed. The folks opposed appear to oppose the fact that
this policy does not block ARIN from ever returning IPv4 addresses to
the IANA while the statements of support cited having this not be
permanent as a cause for their support. Therefor I believe we have the
correct balance and that this important policy should now be moved
forward.

If you feel strongly about this decision one way or the other, please
feel free to voice your opinion before our meeting on Thursday, May
19th. Although the official last call period has ended, I (and very
likely all of the AC) will take any comments received into
consideration.
