[arin-ppml] Serious question for the list.

Mike,

My guess is that such a posting would flood the list with opinionated people who don't have a clue what the real issues are. I suspect that there would be some amount of explanation about why competing registries couldn't just manufacture more IPv4 addresses.

About four years ago, someone (ARIN, I suppose) sent an invitation to POCs inviting them to join ARIN PPML. A number of people joined followed by a rash of "How do I get off of this list" questions. It was this invitation that prompted me to join the list - you can decide for yourself whether that was a good or bad thing.

Keith

Hi Mike,

Go for it. The discussion gets in to arcane technical details, but
anyone willing to invest the time and effort is more than welcome.

Beware, though, that statements of support and dissent are just that:
statements. Both the AC and the board weigh those statements when
considering proposals, but they don't treat them as votes.

Regards,
Bill Herrin
