[arin-ppml] Internet 101: Collaboration (was - Microsoft receives court approval for transfer as agreed with ARIN)

Keith has picked up on a fact that a lot of this ongoing conversation
(across multiple threads) seems to be missing: The Internet is an
exercise in collaboration.

The functioning Internet is a direct result of collaboration. It's
ongoing success is tied directly to collaboration. This is true of
protocol standards as well as naming and numbering policy. Failing to
consider this when forming opinions on Internet protocols, policy,
politics (and law) insures that those opinions will miss the point.
The value of the Internet lies directly within the level of
interconnectedness, directly within the level of collaboration.

So, the better question to be asked is: "What business incentive is
there in lowering the value of your network and of the Internet?"

Cheers,
~Chris
