Rick,
Milton is one of those people who like dropping gravel in the gearbox
just to see what happens. The fundamental problem with introducing a
for-profit entity like Addrex into the system is that such for-profit
entities can only exist when there is a scarcity of a resource.
The large IP address consumers like Comcast, Verizon wireless, etc.
simply have address needs that cannot be met even if every speck of
unused or under-used IPv4 was vacuumed out of all of the corners of the
Internet. Thus the Addrexes of the world will only be able to exist
by bleeding the small providers dry who can't stop kicking the IPv4
can down the road. Once IPv4 is over with, these entities will dry up
and blow away.
