Nope.

IPv6 island A - IPv6 servers inside content provider's data center.

IPv6 island B - laptop of end user whose ISP has not yet dual-stacked.

If the content provider has a 6to4 gateway in their data centre, then
island B can connect to island A.

Just a different flavor. There are no IPv6 transition magic bullets, 
just a bunch of pieces that all solve one part of the puzzle.

Those are two different things. Adding IPv6 to their infrastructure is
a much bigger task than making their services available on IPv6. For one
thing, there is the issue of data center middlebox feature parity on
things
like load balancers and firewalls. You need to solve that in order to 
upgrade the infrastructure, but there are workarounds if your goal is
only
to get services available on v6.
