Because it is not "your" IP space, it is the public IP space which you have
been delegated stewardship over a portion of for so long as the you remain
in compliance with the policies set by the community for your stewardship
of that space.
Being a public resource, those using anything more than a very small fraction
of it should be publicly known and publicly accountable for their utilization
of that public resource.
