Perhaps I am misunderstanding but I thought this was rather the point of the discussion, multiple allocations to a single ASN..  

If the issue is resolved by the company simply acquiring multiple ASN's for disparate network entities then the whole discussion is pointless or people just don't like the solution that is in place.
