As a statement of fact, that is obviously true. What I am saying is that the rationale for these assertions escapes me.

I understand your point. What I don't understand is why some members of the internet technical community are so intent on codyfying and rationalizing a principle that is so obviously out of step with current realities. As the free pool depletes and the need for a transfer market becomes urgent, why is it that these ideological siren songs get in the way of sound policy responses to scarce address resources.
