# 4. Announcement of IANA allocations to the RIRs
#
# When address space is allocated to a RIR, the IANA will send a detailed
# announcement to the receiving RIR. The IANA will also make announcements
# to all other RIRs, informing them of the recent allocation. The RIRs will
# coordinate announcements to their respective membership lists and any other
# lists they deem necessary.
This issue came up in discussing a similar policy for IPv4 by ICANN's
gTLD constituency:
# The suggestion relates to the second sentence of the first paragraph of
# Section 4:"The IANA will also make announcements to all other RIRs,
# informing them of the recent allocation."
So, I'd suggest adding a sentence stating that "IANA will also
announce the allocation to other interested parties."
This is something that IANA ought to do, not the RIR's. The RIR's
don't have the relationships with gTLDs, ccTLDs, etc., etc., that
IANA has.
