[ARIN-consult] Community Consultation on Election-related Bylaws Changes

Some thoughts…

So long as we are changing the timing for Voting Representative Eligibility, wouldn’t it make sense to bring that timeframe in line with the election notice period? Shouldn’t we, perhaps, extend the election notice requirement so that members have time to make sure their voting contact is in order prior to the cutoff? Perhaps 60 days notice and 45 days (as proposed) eligibility cutoff?

I would still like to see us find a way that resource holders can vote, whether that means automatic membership with resources, opt-in membership with resources, or some other mechanism.

Finally, such emails as the one below should either come from arin-consult at arin.net, or, set Reply-To header to arin-consult at arin.net in order to conveniently direct replies as requested.

Thanks,

Owen
