Hello Cathy,

thanks for your reply...

Well, I noticed APNIC, AfriNIC and RIPE are using a databased scheme
based on RPSL specifications (RFC 2622) (hehe ;) ok that might happen
because, AFAIK, RIPE is maintaining those other two databased, also).

In fact, the underlying technology and database scheme as well as
available labels and/or database fields are of great interest to me,
as a developer ;) as you might agree, only known or at least populated
"standards" enable us developers to write software to interact with
your database.

Ah I see, well, RIPE's interface, respectivly website isn't a secured
one at all, you did not even need a personal log-in, but this based on
its database (technique): a maintainer, who wants to change/add a
registraion and/or setting of some sort, has to provide an encrypted
authorization info within his request. For that they are able to
provide a RPC like interface for developers to interact with, which of
course is perfect for my/our API and web-based client-application. In
fact, it's a "simple" CGI script accepting request via HTTP(S)-POST.

So, a question would be: is RPSL, as it's defined in RFC-2622, along
with some RPC or CGI interface an option to you?

Well I hope I was able to make myself clear, as I am German and
English is "just" a another language I (try to ;)) speak.
