[arin-announce] Regenie Fräser Appointed to the ARIN Board of Trustees

The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) is pleased to announce
that during their 31 July 2018 Board of Trustees Board meeting, ARIN
Trustees unanimously agreed to appoint Ms. Regenie Fräser to serve a
one-year term on the ARIN Board of Trustees effective 1 January 2019,
and in observer status in the interim period. Ms. Fräser served as the
Secretary General of the Caribbean Association of National
Telecommunication Organizations from 2004 – 2015.

The appointment is part of the ARIN Trustees ongoing commitment to Board
diversity and fulfills the April Call for Volunteers of Caribbean
background. It was made in accordance with the ARIN Bylaws, Article VI, 
Section 1.b:

Composition. The Board of Trustees shall consist of seven (7) voting
members. Six (6) of these members shall be elected or appointed in
accordance with Article VIII. The President of ARIN is the seventh
voting member of the Board of Trustees. An additional voting member
(potentially bringing the Board to 8 voting seats) may be appointed by
the Board at its discretion (for a term not to exceed one (1) year) to
provide diversity to the Board's membership, including but not limited
to one or several of the following criteria: (i) a background in
financial management or law; (ii) geographic diversity in the ARIN
region; (iii) gender diversity; or (iv) a specific technology background
to supplement the existing Board of Trustees.

ARIN congratulates Ms. Fräser on her appointment and looks forward to
her participation within and contributions to ARIN Board of Trustees and
the community.
