On 27 September, ICANN announced it has postponed the change to the
cryptographic key that helps protect the Domain Name System (DNS). This
change, more commonly referred to as the KSK Rollover, had been
scheduled for 11 October, but recently obtained data revealed that a
significant number of resolvers used by Internet Service Providers
(ISPs) and Network Operators have not been updated in preparation for
this change. Because of its critical nature, it was determined that it
is prudent to postpone rather than risk adverse effects on global
Internet operations.
