They go hand in hand. > Not wanting to answer for Mark here but: I know of three routing protocols that support IPv6 today: BGP RIP OSPF (sort of) The predominant ones are BGP and RIP. Routing architecture and protocol design are being done elsewhere... so I expect that discussing IPv6 micro-allocations is perhaps a bit premature. (See the recent Paul Francis draft on v6 multihoming... has some interesting ramifications for addressing policy. But I doubt it will fly. Too radical.) --bill
