Perhaps I am being naive, having not poured over the RSA, but I
assume that it, like everything else done by ARIN, ultimately answers
to the membership. Whether via the AC or the BoT (whom we elect), or
by our collective financial support.

(I'm thinking of a discussion in which the BoT was free to suspend a
policy that was wrecking undo havoc on the routing tables, as if
there was a rush for PI v6 space. It seemed to me that the BoT was
the ultimate arbiter of ARIN's actions.)

The RSA is based on a body of legal work which is not in my area of
experience. I don't have the time to study it and still work on what
I am trained to do, therefore I trust that this work is otherwise
properly reviewed. I am not looking to have to do this review, I
don't anticipate any problems, so I don't think I can pull in any
company lawyers for this.

If it is up to people like me to review it, then I should ask - how
does the membership make comments on the RSA, how does the membership
influence it? Is there a means to appeal a change to the RSA?
