Why should legacy customers get a > free ride. ... that's not what counsel said. he didn't mention good will costs, only legal obligations. when he said "there is no legal obligation" he means there is no liability to ARIN if we stop doing it. if you ask counsel whether he thinks it's a good idea, or whether it would be good for the community or good for the organization, you'll get some answer on a completely different basis.
