Hi community member,

This number portability suggestion ensures equal access for all. Regardless a small business or a large corporation, they have the right to keep their IP resources when a RIR fails to function and switching providers.

This helps prevent large companies from gaining special treatment or an unfair advantage, keeping the Internet open and accessible to all. This is crucial for small businesses or startups that rely on fair access. It also stops dominant players from monopolizing IP resources, which supports ICP-2’s principle of fairness and equal treatment for all Internet users.

Furthermore, no one should have their Internet numbers moved without their consent. The rules should clearly state that users must explicitly approve the transfer of their numbers. This protects users from losing control over their IP Resources and helps build trust, supporting ICP-2’s commitment to clear and fair management.

Please include this portability rights into the revised ICP-2
