Description: Train the community on DEI so the community is better able to achieve the organizational goals.

Value to Community: At every ARIN election there’s discussion of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. During a spring (i.e., non-election) meeting, ARIN should bring in a DEI expert to teach the community the value of diverse boards, committees, and communities, and how ensuring inclusion will strengthen the organization and its ability to fulfill its mission. The expert should be warned about the technical, data-driven audience.

Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2022.25 upon confirmed receipt, requesting that ARIN train the community on DEI so the community is better able to achieve the organizational goals.

Given that such a training would fall under the guidance of the ARIN Board of Trustees, this suggestion will be provided to the ARIN Board Chair for future consideration.
