On 11 May, we issued responses on two ACSPs.
ACSP Suggestion 2017.11: Mailing List Support of DMARC
https://arin.net/participate/acsp/suggestions/2017-11.html
Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2017.11 upon confirmed receipt,
that suggests ARIN add DMARC support to our mailing lists.
It is not clear if it is presently possible to operate a mailing list in
a manner which meets both existing community expectations for mailing
list behavior and also aligns with DMARC's expectations regarding
header/sender alignment. As a result of your suggestion, we are
researching the use of DMARC on ARIN's mailing lists to determine how it
may be accommodated with a minimum of impact to participants in the ARIN
community. As part of that research, we will open a community
consultation on this topic by Q3 of 2017.
Thank you for participating in the ARIN Consultation and Suggestion
Process. Your suggestion will remain open until a determination is made
regarding implementation.
ACSP Suggestion 2017.12: Remove phone number as a required field in ACSP
Submission
https://arin.net/participate/acsp/suggestions/2017-12.html
Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2017.12 upon confirmed receipt,
that suggests ARIN make changes to the ACSP submission form.
We note two parts to your suggestion. The first is to remove the
telephone number as a required field. The second is to add clarity about
what is done with the collected information on the form.
We agree the form should be updated to clarify how the collected
information is used, and we will be making those changes. Specifically,
we will make it clear that only the author name is ever published,
except in cases the author indicates they want to remain anonymous. We
will also make it clear that the contact information is only used for
internal ARIN staff purposes. Although we will need to retain the email
address as a required field, we will make the telephone number optional.
These changes will be made by Q3 of 2017.
Thank you for participating in the ARIN Consultation and Suggestion
Process. Your suggestion will remain open until implementation.
