<div dir="ltr">Not to be pedantic, but I’m pretty sure my desktop still says “Renew DHCP lease”. Some ISPs offer additional addresses under a services agreement or license which would be my go to to work around this policy. Different legal terms, same effect.
I’m not in favor, it seems un police-able.</div>

<div dir="ltr">However, a potentially different idea would be if ARIN receives a complaint regarding IP addresses being leased or offered as a service to an indirect third party that the use of the addresses must be immediately reported to ARIN in detail including
subscriber information with revocation as recourse for ARIN. </div>

<div dir="auto">Is leasing defined anywhere in the NRPM? How would this be enforced? Is the intent to disallow all reassignments? To get ARIN into the business of inspecting customer contracts and network configs to see if there is a bona fide connectivity
relationship vs. a fig-leaf one? Something else?<br>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">Currently section 4.18 prohibits the transfer of waitlist space for a period of 60 months. However, there are no restrictions on leasing out the space immediately after obtaining it from the waitlist.</p>

a smaller block size than they qualify for down to a /24. Organizations which hold more than a /20 equivalent of IPv4 space in aggregate (exclusive of special use space received under section 4.4 or 4.10) are not eligible to apply. Address space distributed
from the waitlist will not be eligible for transfer, with the exception of Section 8.2 transfers, for a period of 60 months. This policy will be applied to all future distributions from the waitlist to include those currently listed.</p>
