of the ARIN community’s self-governance. The board is, ultimately, accountable to those of us who elected them. John and other staff at ARIN do not, I believe, have any authority to suspend or alter policy themselves. So John’s statements that ARIN’s role
is to implement and facilitate community-based self-governance are not deflated at all by this action. The activities of the AC and the Board are an integral part of that self-governance by the community.</span></div>
