As long as Grandfathering is in place I think I am OK with it.

Subject: [arin-ppml] Request for Community Feedback: Draft Policy ARIN-2023-8

Hello PPML Community!!

As the shepherd of this policy, along with Brian Jones, I am seeking direction from the community on how the AC should proceed with this draft policy.

An update was posted on June 27 { [ https://www.arin.net/participate/policy/drafts/2023_8/ | Current Text ] }, and there was also a summary of comments posted to PPML on June 26/27. This elicited some initial comments, but we have not really received any clear direction with regards to continued interest in moving this policy forward or not.

I do note that one of the key drivers of interest at the time was the inclusion of protections for those already on the waitlist - grandfathering clause. However, since this clause was added, comments seems to have petered out, and it has thus become somewhat difficult to determine whether there is any ongoing or continued interest.

This message is a further attempt at outreach to solicit feedback from the community, in order to inform AC's action and direction.

You can find the full details of Draft Policy ARIN-2023-8 here:

[ https://www.arin.net/participate/policy/drafts/2023_8/ | https://www.arin.net/participate/policy/drafts/2023_8/ ]

and the PPML summary posting (Title: Summary & Update: Draft Policy ARIN-2023-8: Reduce 4.1.8 maximum allocation) to PPML here:

Please let us know if you support this draft as written, or if you have any comments on the draft policy - positive or negative.

Should we keep working on it.

Kind regards.

( and on behalf of Brian )
