[arin-ppml] ARIN-2025-4: Resource Issuance to Natural Persons -- Request for Feedback

Hello Bill
That is what John has said is occurring now.
I can only speak to what happened to me in the past and by the time all the hoops were in place IPv4 was exhausted
and our upstream clawed back a /22 and /23.
We are currently on the waiting list for a /22.
We did get a /24 for ipv6 migration and use ipv6 and NAT to get by.
But we have lost some commercial customers and a few rural customers with camera systems that required a static we couldn't provide.
So yes I am bitter, but now have no needs once our waiting list request is supplied.
We operate in rural NW Missouri and when our upstream clawed back the IPv4 market was not in our budget.
So every time this question is asked I will reply with my experience and history.

Hi Paul,

Your experience with ARIN more than a decade ago is noted and well
taken. In fact, you are the second-hand source referenced in the
timeline I offered elsewhere in this thread which describes my
understanding of the progression of practices around registration and
natural persons.

ARIN process has evolved considerably over the years. They assert that
in 2025, registration by sole proprietorships is handled smoothly. Are
you aware of information to the contrary?

Regards,
Bill Herrin
