The ability to have more networks than IPV4 has hosts. We made a "mess" of IPv4. I hope we resist the temptation
to do the same with IPV6.
After Qwest (AKA centurylink) made me renumber twice (aprox. a hundred customer networks) I found that you develop
a procedure that made renumbering a third time into PI space fairly easy but far from painless.
