I support the original suggestion that prefixes transferred under 8.3 should be made public. 
I think discussion of the merit of that idea is getting sidetracked by the completely extraneous issue of whether that information would be used to filter routes. Making transferred prefixes public does not in any way specify how or why people would use the information. If Owen wants to filter routes on that basis he can (and he could do so now), if others don't want to they needn't. The whole discussion of dropping routes is a distraction.
