What would people think if the policy was altered to distinguish between an
"end user" class and a "reseller" class of customer where the requirements
would be to disclose full information on the reseller, which would be
someone reselling network services such as web hosting, VPS' or even another
ISP, and someone hosting their corporate e-mail and web site?
The former should have a clue and be able to deal with network abuse issues
while the latter is more likely to just be confused and ignore complaints.
It would also protect those customers who are more likely to be "poached"
as, at least in my case, the resellers have more interaction with me or my
staff and therefore have a stronger relationship.
Right now my count has the yays and nays running just about dead even. This
suggestion was offered as a possible compromise by one of the nays.
