For everyone on the list, at the meeting in Dearborn today 2009-8
EQUITABLE IPv4 RUN-OUT was presented.

The following are the slides, pick your favored format;

https://www.arin.net/participate/meetings/reports/ARIN_XXIV/PDF/thursday/2009-8_presentation.pdf
https://www.arin.net/participate/meetings/reports/ARIN_XXIV/PPT/thursday/2009-8_presentation.ppt
https://www.arin.net/participate/meetings/reports/ARIN_XXIV/PPT/thursday/2009-8_presentation.pptx

The current full policy is at;
https://www.arin.net/policy/proposals/2009_8.html

I would like feed back from the list on the proposed modification to the
triggers of the first part of the policy;

Remove this;

When IANA reaches 20 or fewer unallocated /8s, an organization may
choose to request up to a 6 month supply of IP addresses;

When IANA reaches 10 or fewer unallocated /8s, an organization may
choose to request up to a 3 month supply of IP addresses;

And replace it with;

When IANA reaches 10 or fewer unallocated /8s, an organization may
choose to request up to a 6 month supply of IP addresses;

There seemed to have been support for this on the floor here in Dearborn.

Also there was an editorial change proposed;

In the NRPM 4.2.4.4 is currently titled

4.2.4.4 Twelve months

Staff recommended a new title, which is included in this Draft Policy

4.2.4.4 Subscriber Members After One Year

I while back I asked about NRPM 4.2.4.3 which is currently titled

4.2.4.3 Three months

For consistency and clarity we recommend the AC also change this to

4.2.4.3 Subscriber Members Less Than One Year

Any feedback before the AC meeting tomorrow afternoon would be appreciated.

Thanks
