[arin-ppml] How hard is it to transition to IPv6?

Nothing is stopping the C&W, Roadrunner, and Rogers of the
world from taking the dd-wrt stuff, which is under GPL, and
using it.  Those large orgs get the manufacturers of their
cable modems to custom-build them for them anyway - that's
why those modems have those companies names sikscreened on
them after all - and they get the firmware custom-modified
to display their logos and setup their network presets.

And if they don't want to do that, the dd-wrt people have a
company that's primary means of
income is custom-modifying the firmware for OEM's like
C&W, Roadrunner, Rogers, etc.

The fact of the matter is that for those large orgs it is
cheaper for them to just buy new gear and push it out to
their userbase.  The replaced gear ends up flooding the
junk stores.  Our prmary supply of DSL modems that we send
out as freebies to new subscribers is a local computer
recycler, we get them from them for $5 a modem and over 90%
work fine.
