nobody advocates natting end *customers* if addresses arent scarce.

They just might do exactly that when ipv4 gets scarce.
Along with reserving global unique ipv4 for power users willing to pay
for it and dual stack ipv6, its probably a sound scheme *if* thats what
all your competitors will be doing as well.
