Further to the threads:

A challenge to the assumption that a big DFZ is a problem
debunking the myth that Moore's law helps

the IRTF RRG is about to decide on its recommendation to the
IETF about scalable routing.

 Charter: http://www.irtf.org/charter?gtype=rg&group=rrg
 Wiki: http://tools.ietf.org/group/irtf/trac/wiki/RoutingResearchGroup
 List archives: http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/rrg/current/maillist.html

Proposals need to be in by 22 December:

 http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/rrg/current/msg05489.html

In mid-2007 the RRG took over the discussions from the RAM list,
which was established following the October IAB Workshop on
Routing and Addressing workshop (RAWS) in Amsterdam:

  http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4984
  http://www.iab.org/about/workshops/routingandaddressing/

For most of this time, discussion of actual proposals has been
discouraged or banned. However, now there is discussion of a
bunch of *proposals*, in order to finalise a recommendation to
the IETF by 2010-03.
