This isn't telling people how to admin *their* network, this is telling
people that they need to keep track of *our* IPs. Big difference.
I don't tell people how to raise *their* children, but I do insist that
they keep their children from driving their cars on *our* roads. The
reason that's a better analogy to me than balancing a cheque book is
because we don't share your cheque book, but we share the roads like we
share IP space.
Nothing wrong with requiring accountability from those using IP
resources,
in my opinion... at any point in time.
