Some /8s have been returned and recovered. Each one buys slightly less than
one month at the current rate on consumption. It's not realistic to expect
any more whole /8s to be returned or recovered.

That doesn't mean that address recovery is pointless but it does mean it
will probably be quite slow and expensive.
