Where did I say give up addresses? I said:

"I might even go so far as to say we should just let IPv4 run out and
shift efforts to the future (IPv6)."

I'm not banking my future internet connectivity on being able to get 
more IPv4 than I already have on the ability to get more. Nobody should.
