The car is property. The license plate number is not.

You do not own the license plate number.

You own the web server or router or whatever host the IP is on.
You do not own the integer assigned to the host. Integers are
not property any more than license plate numbers are property.

The Vehicle code clearly states that the DMV can change your
license plate number if they choose to do so. ARIN doesn't have
force of law like the DMV does, so, ARIN needs to do it through
contracts instead.

The RSA does not give ARIN title to your servers or any other
property. It does, however, acknowledge that integers are not
property and that what you are receiving from ARIN is a unique
registration that ARIN (and by extension the other RIRs and
ICANN) will not register those same numbers to someone else
so long as you continue to meet the other terms of the
agreement.

You are in that state whether you sign the RSA or not.

What, exactly, is it you find so egregious about the legacy RSA?
