They publish statistics on their FTP server every DAY.

People like me then download these and create stuff like this:

  ISSUE PRESS RELEASES

We need some kind of "Internet facing its own Y2K" story line - and it needs to be kept alive, even if "y2k" is a bit of hyperbole.
