Folks,
 
      The auto-renewal being subject to ARIN's then current terms
      and conditions has been present since the original Registration
      Services Agreement (RSA) in 1998.   In January of 2004, the
      ARIN Board approved version 5 of the RSA which allows changes
      to be effective after posting to the ARIN website for 30 days.  It
      has also been ARIN's practice to announce material changes to
      the RSA agreement to the "arin-announce" mailing list, although
      this is not technically required.

      In light of the discussion on the PPML mailing list, the ARIN Board of
      Trustees will take up at its next board meeting the matter of the
      appropriate process for changing the Registration Services Agreement,
      including formalizing the notice and review aspects.
