[ppml] Spamming off of this list (fwd)

Despite saying he will never email me again, here's his 3rd email.  Of
course he paints me as the screwed up one.  Ya, I go overboard on this
stuff, because even with using Postini to filter email, spam still wastes
5 hours a week of my time.

Anyone that knows the definition of vitriolic and can use it correctly in
a sentence should know the definition of SPAM.  Unfortunately knowledge
does not always lead to wisdom.

To the rest of you I'm sorry for wasting your time with this.  The only
reason I have continued posting to the list is because a few of you
questioned me when I said he was spamming.

I believe ARIN is in the process of removing him from the list.

I must say that I simply fail to see how my direct email message to you
should lead to your vitriolic responses.

As I read your posts to this group, it certainly appeared that issues
related to ARIN reporting and contact information (and the corresponding
need for archiving, tracking, etc)., at the very least, justified my
assumption that you/your organization might be interested in a tool that
would automate and streamline such efforts.

Now, I have apologized for sending you the message.  I have stated that you
will not receive anything more unless you explicitly request it.  Tying up
the mailing list with your rants is simply counter-productive.

So I wasn't the only one.  Two other people emailed me privately to say
they had received it and considered it spam.  In addition, the spammer is
a liar... or extrememly ignorant.  He has since emailed me again spouting
a bunch of BS.  Yes, he is apparantly trying to politely back peddle, but
in reality he's lying about how he got the list and why he sent the
message.  Instead of lying and defending himself, he should have said "I
was wrong and I'm sorry."

So for those that questioned it, yes it was spam.  So back to my question,
does ARIN have a mailing list policy regarding this?  Can this person be
removed from the mailing list?  Hell, their IPs should be revoked if it
happens a 2nd time.

I did not spam, certainly not by any definition I've ever heard used.
I did send extremely brief message, individually, to several people (less
than 10 total) who actively expressed interest in a means of automating
the IP management and IP assignment functions.

That said, I apologize for any incovenience.

You will not receive anything more unless you explicitly request it.
