>From the numbers in the link, it appears Bernadette was very nearly elected
suggesting strong qualification. Had she received a 15% "diversity boost"
she would have been elected.

For the rest of the years... we can't elect folks who don't run and in my
opinion shouldn't seek less qualified candidates solely because of
diversity.
